Our client chose Alitex because she felt we were the best, not only in terms of aesthetic but in the quality of the materials, the build and in our attention to detail, culminating in the perfect growing environment.

Project Overview
Our client first discovered Alitex in 2015 at Chelsea Flower Show, and was inspired by our aesthetic, as she wanted a traditional Victorian greenhouse that was beautiful and authentic. She immediately arranged a site visit to explore the options at her property, and decided on the Tatton greenhouse from our National Trust collection.
We were able to colour match her greenhouse to the paint work of her house and furniture.
Her greenhouse creates the perfect growing environment for tropical plants with the help of a heating system installed for the winter. Additionally, our external light reflecting Greenhouse Shades prevent her plants from being scorched in the height of summer.
Our client’s favourite accessory is her LED Grow Lights, which she had installed retrospectively. They offer continuous, stable light all year round, and are crucial to the success of her tropical paradise. Benching was also installed in the greenhouse to store plants at a convenient height.
This greenhouse is used primarily for sub-tropical and tropical plants, including orchids, ferns, anthuriums, palms and philodendrons. Some of the first things our client put in her greenhouse were two small Japanese tropical banana plants (Basjoos), to bring on for her new jungle garden.
Not only her own personal sanctuary, the greenhouse has also spurred our client on to become a student at the English Gardening School. Her Tatton greenhouse offers ample space for her to study and get inspired.
