The Gifford Greenhouse Light is essential for illuminating your glasshouse for pottering during the darker evenings and winter months. It has been designed to represent the traditional Victorian aesthetics and withstand the varied environment of the greenhouse.
Manufactured in aluminium, our Gifford Light is powder coated on the outside to match your greenhouse. The inside is powder coated white for optimum light reflection.
The light comes with an energy efficient 10 W LED bulb (1055 lumens – roughly equivalent to 75W) and has an overall IP rating of 44 for safe use in the greenhouse environment.
To facilitate fitting, the light is supplied with approximately 1 metre of flex cord, a polished chrome hanging chain, and our specially designed hanger that sits neatly on the spandrel and suspends your light safely.

Our colour selection is vast, ranging from classic shades of white to muted greens and greys, and more diverse bold colours including blues and black. Please view our colour range below, all colours come in a satin finish, except for Bronze Manganese which comes in Matt as standard. If you would like a bespoke colour or finish, all we need is the RAL code, these are available at an extra cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the wiring and connection to an electrical supply included?
Wiring and connection to an electrical supply is not included. Alitex recommends all electrical work is carried out by a qualified electrician, and electrician fees are not included in the cost.
What colour is the inside of the Gifford Light?
Whilst the outside of the Gifford Light can be powder coated to match the colour of your greenhouse, the inside reflector is painted white for optimum light reflection.
Can Gifford Lights be fitted retrospectively?
Yes, Gifford Lights can be fitted retrospectively.
Is the wiring hidden in my greenhouse?
In our Messenger glazing system, the wiring is concealed within the interior aluminium casing. In our Traditional and National Trust structures, the wiring is visible.
