With a slimmer profile, Alitex Traditional greenhouses are built with a similar glazing system to our National Trust structures. However, unlike the Messenger, all metal extrusions are visible.
Our Traditional glasshouses are more flexible in terms of design and can be completely tailored to your individual growing needs.

Greenhouse VentilatioN
Vents are positioned in one vertical side in a bank. They are 0.09m deep and are operated manually using a traditionally styled aluminium link and lever system.
Vents in the roof are also set in banks and are 0.61m deep. If the greenhouse is up to 3.5m wide they are operated by temperature sensitive openers. These consist of a piston filled with a synthetic wax which expands as the external temperature heats up, opening the vent. The wax then cools as the temperature drops and the vents close.
Greenhouses that are 4.5m or wider will have roof vents that are operated by an electric motor.
