Eleven years on and this bespoke lean-to greenhouse still looks immaculate.
Our client often visits Harrogate Flower show, when they spotted us in the Gardening Hall they were delighted to come and say "hello". They voiced their praise for their Alitex greenhouse that was a hassle free project and has had no problems in the eleven years they have had it.
Having first met us at Chelsea, they knew an aluminium structure was the perfect replacement for their falling down original timber greenhouse that had a large back wall in danger of collapsing. Knowing there are many benefits to aluminium over timber, such as its durability and low maintenance, and that our bespoke Victorian style structures would fit in with the period of their home, they chose to enquire further.
With their own experience, they rebuilt the back wall themselves, making the perfect place for a new lean-to greenhouse. They built the dwarf wall, fitted the drainage and flooring making it an easy installation for the Alitex team. They chose to have their structure powder-coated in 'Downland Stone', this meant it fitted with the house and they felt the colour would age nicely, which it has!
Eleven years on and their greenhouse still looks immaculate. They use it for overwintering plants and growing tomatoes, you can also see beautiful blossoms and lots of greenery through the windows. They even have a banana tree that grows well, unfortunately a little too well as they often have to cut it down to fit it in the greenhouse.
A unique feature in their greenhouse which really stands out to visitors is the mirror opposite the entrance. It is surrounded by a cast iron French archway with a beautiful bench seat that sets the scene of a hidden passage to a never ending blossoming garden.
Our clients said: "We are pleased with our greenhouse and would definitely recommend Alitex for, not only the structure but also the excellent service they offer."
