Hampton Court Flower Show is just over a week away and with the weather brightening up, we can’t wait to spend a week in one of the most beautiful settings around; but what exactly are we showcasing at this year’s show?
The organisers have split the showground into three zones; grow, inspire and feast, to help guide visitors around the event. We will be in the inspire section along with our inspirational stand full of home grown veggies. We are collaborating with The PIG hotels and restaurants who have also been growing some crops for the show. To find out more about The PIG and how they will be contributing to our stand, click here.
We will be featuring the Mottisfont greenhouse from our National Trust collection along with an extra door in the gable end. The colour of the structure will be Olive Green, a slightly darker shade to compliment the flourishing greenery around it. We will also be fitting a single cold frame and a selection of strawberry boards, both new products that we launched at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
We are following a similar ‘kitchen garden’ theme that featured on our award winning stand at Chelsea 2015; around the greenhouse itself will be some vegetable beds full of home-grown crops and a few ‘rusty blooms’ from architectural heritage, who will also be providing some pots. The famous bee bricks from Green and Blue will also be built into the base of our greenhouse.
If you are at Hampton Court Flower Show this year, do come and say hello; we will be on stand IN406 which is situated close to the Country Living Pavilion. As well as the team from Alitex, there will also be some staff from The PIG helping us out each day.
