We have had a relationship with the gardening charity for years now and last week I was lucky enough to pay a visit to Thrive’s stunning new office in Battersea Park. Within walking distance of their Herb and Old English gardens this new building has all the style and buzz of a mini Eden project.
It is a lovely sweeping curve in timber, steel and glass with huge doors to open up in the summer and work rooms for hosting training and workshops – they offer corporate events as well as training their own team. It sits in a beautiful little garden, currently full of sunflowers with heavy seed heads feeding Battersea’s birds, and a wonderful eucalyptus tree which is also home to the plant sales area. During the spring and summer this will be jam packed with seedlings and plants, but now it is the perfect place to buy your Christmas wreath.
Head for their shop at the Battersea Park band stand and keep an eye out for this new little shop in the park. The purpose for my visit was to discuss some growing for next year's show season, but more on that at a later date!
