We are delighted to relay that we have again been the very lucky winners of the Trade Stand award for excellence of presentation of our stand at MA9. Thank you to everyone who planned and worked so hard to accomplish this achievement.
After two weeks of continual hard work and planting for everyone, the show was officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen on Monday late afternoon. She then wandered along Main Avenue, past our stand accompanied by Sue Biggs, The RHS Director General. The show obviously looked immaculate and it was quite a privilege to be a part of something so special.
Our tweets have been relaying immediate news to you all and we have very much enjoyed all your updates.
Trying to keep up with the deluge of activity and documenting the interesting flowers and gardens at this year's show have very much kept us on our feet so far this week – and the excitement goes on until Saturday when we will no doubt all fall into a very large cup of...Something stronger than tea, I should think! Then the Alitex A Team are back on site to dismantle. We do have a great recycling plan though.
We were part of the BBC’s Flower Show coverage on Monday evening. Well, just a little bit - our QR code in fact, or Quick Response Code, the black and white odd looking PacMan image sited in the front of the Alitex stand in the raised bed. There is also a garden dedicated to the QR code with the detail being sculpted from white Perspex and box hedging. Basically download the relevant app, then point your phone at the QR code and you are guided to our website. Amazingly over 600 people tried this on the Alitex stand!
For those of you new to Alitex, that we have just met this week, we are pleased to welcome you to our website and for old friends and clients who are coming along and saying hello again this year – thanks for coming! Everyone is welcome to join us at our Summer Open Day on Saturday 14th July.
