Opposite the Gold medal winning Laurent Perrier Garden you will find our award winning exhibition stand, this year featuring the Scotney from the National Trust Greenhouse Collection and also an inspirational bespoke greenhouse.
Our team are thoroughly enjoying welcoming past customers, industry friends and people simply interested in finding out what makes Alitex greenhouses and conservatories different to others on the market.
We are delighted that so many of you are enjoying the show and finding us easily amongst all the beautiful show gardens and scent-tastic displays!
The week went off with a glittery bang for us – the two men dressed as gnomes who managed to sweep the news from Australia to New York, from Yorkshire TV to the BBC, were Paul Hewitt who many of you know and his brother Richard, who is part of our clean and care team. Happily the boys got in a lot of practise cleaning the Alitex greenhouses in their various photo shoots, so their muscles will surely be honed and buffed – all the better to clean your Alitex greenhouse! For more details of the Alitex clean and care programme click here.
We are having a lot of fun with the gnome theme (spot the gnome inside our bespoke greenhouse)and hope that it has helped reach the wider audience which the RHS is aiming for. Whilst the celebration has been to honour 100 years of Chelsea, it may well have worked to capture the imagination of potential younger gardeners – time will tell. Sid and Derek have certainly risen to the challenge – even managing to be immortalised on the BBC iplayer front page.
Thanks to Taylor Tripp who designed our garden to withstand the rigours of Chelsea and to Thrive who managed to grow such healthy plants, our stand is still looking as good as it did on Sunday evening,do come along and visit. The beauty of the planting scheme is that you can under-plant with bulbs to create a year round design.
It is certainly a celebratory mood at the show and we are delighted to be a part of it for our own 60th birthday and our 50th year at the show. If you won’t be visiting the show this year, but would still like to know more about Alitex why not consider visiting us on our open day on Saturday 29th June, here at Torberry, Petersfield?
If we can be of any further help click here.
Hope to see you on MA10.
