Call us gluttons for punishment; the Alitex team are going to be busy this summer! As if Chelsea wasn’t enough we are also going to be exhibiting our National Trust Hidcote greenhouse at Hampton Court Flower Show in conjunction with the National Trust Garden Collection.
The National Trust Garden Collection showcases some of the finest products for your garden, inspired by places and spaces cared for by the National Trust. It is a fitting collection in which to find an Alitex greenhouse, other products include wooden gates, summerhouses, greenhouses, garden furniture, wildlife habitats, stone paving and garden sheds.
The Collection ran a competition to design the stand at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in 2012. We’re delighted to say that Zeno Perfetti, a graduate of the London College of Garden Design, fought off tough competition, rising up to the top of a very talented bunch, to win this opportunity.
Zeno approached the design brief from a different and unusual perspective, hence his triumph. His design showcases the National Trust Garden Collection in all its glory within a garden setting, but he has managed to capture a sense of drama and intrigue with some of the smaller products being used as sculptures! It is an amusing take on tradition which catches the eye.
Zeno explains “I wanted to create something unexpected; in my design the products have become interesting, sculptural elements displayed on lawn or gravel areas enhanced by decorative, upright and coloured posts.”
Be sure to book your tickets for Hampton Court Flower Show in plenty of time and remember to stop by and say hello to us at the National Trust Garden Collection / Stand TH 52.
