It’s no secret that the Alpine House at RHS Wisley is an Alitex glasshouse. With its distinctive location in the gardens and fabulous collection of Alpine plants, continually presented so beautifully, it certainly is a destination within a destination. Read more from the RHS site here.
This time last year the BBC filmed an Alpine story there for Gardeners World. Cultivating and caring for alpine plants offer incredible rewards year round but I find at this time of year, these tiny plants bursting with colour are real show stoppers. This event is not to be missed for those who want to learn more or have particular "alpine challenges" that you would like to find answers to.
We are very fortunate to have Cara Smith, the Alpine House Team Leader sharing her knowledge and experience of working in the Alpine House (and gardens) on 3rd April – a perfect time of year to see the gardens waking up, in particular the alpine flowers.
Enjoy the gardens at your leisure after Cara’s informative talk.
