Design of a Productive Garden with Hampshire design team Taylor Tripp
Here at Alitex we have been very fortunate to work over the years on our Chelsea stand with Hampshire based design team Taylor Tripp. To look through their body of work on their website is to be transported into a warmly scented summer garden where everything seems to work together, in harmony with the house and surroundings. Their planting schemes really catch the eye, from muted silvers and greens to the more vibrant deep purples and reds. The challenge of design for awkward spaces is something they are faced with repeatedly with our show stand yet each year there is something new to see and admire – some combination which prompts me to try it at home.
Of course it’s January - the season when, as gardeners, we start opening our picture books and dreaming of the perfect borders, then getting out a pencil and paper to try and work out how that will be achieved. We are starting to plan our seed and bulb orders and wondering whether we can try again on the propagations which failed last year.
To help with your planning and to provide a gardening boost of inspiration we are holding a talk here at Torberry in February with Taylor Tripp. They will be advising us on the design principles involved with a productive garden – after all, that is what we are all aiming for, in the hope that on a warm, light summers evening we too can be relaxing in the garden of our dreams.
Do join us for what promises to be an inspirational morning.
