Introducing Sam Duke - Content & Social Media Executive

Introducing Sam Duke, our Content & Social Media Executive

We are pleased to welcome Sam Duke, our new Content & Social Media Executive, to the Alitex marketing team. Coming from a travel background, Sam has experience in both the digital and offline world of PR and marketing all within the fast paced ski industry. Sam, over to you.

What do you do at Alitex?

“I spend my time making sure that we have a great content marketing strategy in place and that our stories reach as many people as possible. I am passionate about writing and my role here allows me to write as often as I can. I also manage the social media channels, making sure that our community is kept informed, entertained and involved in everything we do. I guess you could say I am the voice of Alitex!”

What is your favourite thing about working here?

“It has to be the quality and style of our greenhouses and conservatories. It’s so lovely marketing a product that people instantly fall in love with.”

What would we find you doing in your spare time?

“I love to draw, I try to do it as much as I can; I have also recently discovered Ballet and although The Royal Ballet won’t be calling anytime soon, my legs are getting a great workout. Being a huge music fan, I spend the rest of my time going to gigs and listening to music.”

What would we NOT find you doing in your spare time?

"Cooking. I am learning, however I managed to burn just about every ingredient in the last curry I made, so my partner is reluctant to let me have another go.”

What exciting projects have you worked on in the past?

“In my last role I worked with two ski brands and a Lapland product. I was lucky enough to get involved with the ‘ITV Text Santa campaign’. I helped arrange a trip to Lapland for Jeremy Kyle, his production crew and 3 under-privileged families. Mr Kyle himself is often subject to criticism but there is no denying that this campaign is heart warming.”

If you had to pick one garden or space to roam in for eternity, where would it be?

“Chatsworth House in Bakewell. I visited this remarkable place when I was around 10 or 11 and have never forgotten the sheer size and grandeur of the gardens that surround it. I could happily spend the rest of my life there.”

Tell us something we don’t know about you?

“I used to be a sprinter, I can run 100m pretty quickly.”

What do you want to say to the Alitex community?

“If you have any stories or photos you would like to share, questions you want answered or just feel like catching up, please get in touch; I would love to hear from you. You can email me on or tweet @alitex.
