The most recent build by Lime Wood Group is their new greenhouse at Lime Wood Hotel and Herb House Spa.
Lime Wood wanted an authentic greenhouse, that in five years' time would look like it has been there for 50 years. They were drawn to Alitex by the flexibility in the people and the employees that have remained within the company for a long time. This mattered to them, as they believe in the depth of Alitex's experience and knowledge, which isn't easy to find.
The greenhouse itself is bespoke, it is free standing and measures 20.2 metres by 5.16 metres. It is painted in Wood Sage to blend with its natural and beautiful surroundings at Lime Wood. They have chosen to include cold frames, benching and shelving for optimum growing space. The greenhouse has also been accessorised with shades, a hot water heating system and automatic controlled ventilation that allows them to have full control over the growing conditions.
What surprised Lime Wood about the finished greenhouse was the quality of the engineering, the solidity of the structure and the craftsmanship that was used.
Director, David Elton praised the construction; "I don't think you appreciate the detail until you experience it head on, it's a quality build."
