A Place in The Garden

29 September 2020 | Daisy Faughnan

Our clients, based in rural West Sussex wanted a greenhouse for the garden where their business, A Place in the Garden, is based. This greenhouse would provide a functional growing space, completing their beautiful walled garden and complementing the luxurious aesthetic they have created.

Having lived in their house for nearly 30 years with their 3 year old Cavapoochon dog Ted, this couple have renovated both the Georgian house and gardens surrounding, whilst developing a luxury garden accessories business. Our clients knew that Alitex was going to be their first choice having had their heart set on one since attending RHS Chelsea Flower Show. With regards to aesthetics and quality of craftsmanship, there was no other choice in their eyes.

They opted for a Mottisfont greenhouse from our National Trust Collection in Dove Grey. The colour choice reflected our clients passion for interior design and her love for blues and greys. The Dove Grey greenhouse complements the colour scheme that runs throughout the garden, even the planting has shades of blue and white.

The structure has now become a thriving working hub, with most of our client’s spare time spent either in the greenhouse or running the family business. Ever since placing that first lemon tree inside. The greenhouse is now filled with a variety of vegetable seedlings which are ready to plant into the raised beds in front of the greenhouse.

If you wish to explore A Place in the Garden and the luxury items they have to offer their show site is now open, you can also take a walk round their Mottisfont greenhouse to see what it is like to thrive under an Alitex structure.
