Local customers Jackie and Alan Sherling are hosting two exclusive events on 20th and 22nd June as part of the National Garden Scheme Open Garden Events. Hosted at Shepherds Cottage, Milberry Lane, Stoughton PO18 9JJ; the event will take place between 11am to 4:30pm providing you with an opportunity to view their beautiful garden.
The garden, designed by Ann-Marie Powell, is a beautiful representation of our British countryside. Close to the south-facing flint stone cottage you will find an attractive Purbeck stone terrace, surrounded by magnificent planting schemes, with steps down to a small orchard, under planted with chalk loving meadow flowers. Follow the immaculate lawn, past yew hedges, ilex balls and drifts of wind grass to the bottom of the garden where you will find an enchanting seating area with breath-taking views leading up to the cottage.
The event will be raising money for the National Garden Scheme, a significant charitable funder for nursing charities in the country. Their beneficiary charities are: The Queen's Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK, Perennial, Parkinson's UK and several guest charities.
Once you've visited their inspiring garden, why not pop along to our show site, Torberry Farm, Petersfield GU35 0YH. It's just down the road and provides the perfect opportunity to look around our on-site structures and talk to a member of our design team about your project.
