Celebrating the best horticultural achievements of 2017

The Landmark Hotel London

The SGD Awards are a glittering affair recognising the great work and achievements in the world of garden and landscape creation. The 2017 SGD Awards will be hosted on February 2nd 2018 at the luxurious Landmark Hotel in London.

For the fifth consecutive year, Alitex are sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award at the SGD Awards 2017. The Lifetime Achievement Award is granted to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the landscape and garden design profession. Last year's award went to well deserving winner Christopher Bradley-Hole FSGD for his dedication to the garden design industry, inspiring the direction of garden design and his RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winning gardens. You can read more about the SGD 2017 highlights here.

Hosting this year's ceremony is Ann-Marie Powell, an award winning garden designer, TV gardening presenter, journalist, author and good friend of Alitex. The judging panel, including Andy Sturgeon FSGD and Debbie Roberts MSGD, have shortlisted 33 finalists across 13 categories including a sensory woodland garden at a children's hospice, a public garden design as a contemporary playscape at a Historical Royal Palace and a roof garden on one of the largest roof terraces in London.

The Society of Garden Designers were created to help you. They have a vast number of members, including some of the leading horticulturalist names within the industry. You can read more about why you should use a SGD registered member here.
