For those who were lucky enough to get onto our last Springtime course, you are under starters orders – there are only ten places once again for this fabulous opportunity to experience the botanical art tutelage of Billy Showell.
Back by popular demand, Billy will this time be focussing on seasonal summer blooms. We will run the course as before, from 10am-4pm with refreshments and lunch included in the price of £50 (cheques payable to Billy Showell) from the Alitex show site at Torberry, at the base of the South Downs.
We were delighted that this course was such a hit. Billy has had a successful relationship with Alitex for a number of years now, including RHS Chelsea 2010 when she painted beautiful flower images whilst sat in the light of our conservatory on the stand.
One question we were asked frequently was about ability – can I come if I’m not a confident artist and I’m just a dabbler? Well, rest assured the Springtime workshop was full of a wide range of painting abilities, what our guests shared was an enthusiasm to learn. Billy is enormously talented and very generous with her knowledge and tricks of the trade. We had such positive feedback that I feel sure the next workshop will be just as good.
