ASLA was established in 1899, and holds an annual show held in a different location each year; this year is in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The show is the largest gathering of landscape architecture professionals in the world, attracting around 6000 attendees.
This year they have been very keen to attract British exhibitors...So we have joined forces with our partners in The Perfect Garden Collection - David Harber, Italian Terrace and Gaze Burvill, who take their own stands adjoining ours. Alitex have a ten foot square stand (Booth #1854) and we aim to present and introduce ourselves to a new American audience. Unusually but logistically understandable, we are leaving our mobile greenhouse at home and instead we will pictorially display our best projects with the team on hand to discuss Alitex and our structures. (Watch out for our signage.)
The show runs on Saturday and Sunday 16th/17th November from 9am until 5pm and we are looking forward to forging some new friendships at the show. Although ASLA’s audience is largely trade, we hope to make some good connections and reacquaint ourselves with those who have already specified us in the US.
Alitex have a number of greenhouses already in America, including the largest greenhouse we have ever built in upstate New York – assembled during a fearsome hurricane. We have a red greenhouse in Texas, greenhouses in California, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Illinois, North and South Carolina, Florida...Indeed our greenhouses are to be found all over the US and the wider geographical area including Canada and right down to Chile in the South. Alitex overseas is a story in itself.
If you are visiting the show this year (the team pictured) do come along and see us at Stand 1854. More details to follow soon. Follow ASLA news on Twitter.
