Alitex Birthday Open Day Saturday 29 June 2013

Alitex Open Day

In celebration of our 60th birthday we are hosting a bumper open day with guest exhibitors, horticultural talks, tours of our design office and factory and of course, the opportunity to talk in relaxed surroundings with members of the Alitex team about your own project.

As usual our show structures will be open and inviting you to visualise how you might use your greenhouse or conservatory – how the benching will suit your purposes; deciding which colour will suit your home and garden.

Our horticultural speakers include Jim Durrant from McBeans Orchids (recently celebrated on RHS Chelsea BBC coverage) and from a local company, Architectural Plants, both of whom promise to make us better gardeners and plant enthusiasts!

Guest exhibitors include Italian Terrace with handmade terracotta pots, Gaze Burvill with handcrafted outdoor furniture and David Harber who will bring his garden sculpture – all of whom have recently exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

We look forward to a full and entertaining day and hope that you can join us – refreshments will be available throughout the day.

10am – Our open day begins.

11am – Jim Durrant from McBeans Orchids illustrates how best to care for your orchids.

2pm – Architectural Plants share the tips of their trade.

4pm – Open Day closes.

Throughout the course of the day tours of both our factory and design office will be run, providing a peek behind the scenes at Alitex. Our aim is to provide you with every opportunity to scrutinise us and see our greenhouses and conservatories for yourself. We are fortunate to have Marina Christopher and Phoenix Perennials joining us - an opportunity to purchase plants which bring wildlife into the garden.

If you would like to join us for any or part of the day, please contact us. Find us here.
