Our very own ‘Gardeners Question Time’. Thurs 8th MARCH 2012

by Nelly Hall 21. December 2011 15:15

Thursday 8th March 2012
6.30pm at Torberry Farm, South Harting, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU31 5RG
Tickets £10 per person

For the first time we are bringing together a group of our expert friends to kick off your spring growing season with a question and answer evening. Our team brings together a diverse range of background and experience, and hopefully no question will be unanswered. We are awaiting the confirmation of the fourth member of the team, but you will definitely be able to question:

  • Sarah Wain – Gardens supervisor at the stunning walled gardens at West Dean. Since 1991, Sarah and her husband Jim Buckland have restored the walled kitchen gardens, including 16 glasshouses and frames.

  • Marina Christopher – A trained ecologist, Marina set up Pheonix Perennial Plants in 2002 to grow the plants that interest her most. She specialises in plants to promote wildlife in the garden, and extend the growing season well into the autumn.

  • Tony Kirkham - Has been at Kew since 1978 and has been the Head of Arboretum for 10 years now. Tony, and his team of over thirty staff and students, is responsible for managing the more than 14,000 trees in the living collection at RBG Kew.

To make the evening run smoothly, we would ask you to provide us with your burning questions nearer the time, so we can pass them on to the relevant expert to prepare for.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact us to book your tickets.
