Alitex history and ethos Alitex history and ethos Alitex history and ethos

Alitex was established in 1952 and we were the pioneers in using aluminium.

Over the past six decades we have constructed some of the most elegant bespoke greenhouses and glasshouses throughout the world. Using Victorian greenhouses of the 19th Century as inspiration, we spearheaded the greenhouse renaissance of the 1990s through a combination of horticultural knowledge, engineering excellence and customer empathy.

Over 60 years we have built many valuable relationships across the horticultural world and we’ve been lucky enough to work with the great and good of the gardening world. Names such as John Brookes, Arabella Lennox-Boyd, Tom Stuart-Smith, Alan Titchmarsh as well as institutions like of the National Trust, The Royal Horticultural Society, The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and Alnwick Castle all feature as partners in various glasshouses we’ve constructed. Whilst credibility, reliability and quality is a pre-requisite in these circles, we like to think that our professional yet personable approach is reflected in the fact that such opinion leaders choose Alitex time and again.

I chose Alitex to design and build my greenhouse because they made a point of fully understanding my growing requirements before designing the ideal structure."
Mr Fielding, London
