Royal Horticultural Society – Wisley

Wisley is undoubtedly one of the greatest gardens in the world. As well as the renowned glasshouse at Wisley, you will also find an Alitex greenhouse that is home to part of the extensive alpine collection.

The Walled Garden at Cowdray

In 2001 Jan Howard came across the neglected Tudor Pleasure Garden hidden within the walls by the historic Cowdray ruins. In 2005 she opened the gardens, fully restored, and they are now the prefect backdrop to weddings and functions – not least the annual Alitex lecture!

The Professional Gardeners Guild

Formed in 1977, The Professional Gardeners' Guild was originally a society for Head Gardeners and Garden Managers. Over the years, it has evolved to include assistant gardeners, single-handed gardeners, students, self-employed gardeners, in fact anyone who makes their living through professional gardening.
